Lot 10's upmarket hulk has sat on Jalan Bukit Bintang for two decades, its plastic-dark green more style-statement than vital. (Remember those odd metal palms in the interior?)

That's changing, though: the place is undergoing a complete renovation, in an attempt to net today's health- and environment-conscious urbanites. Hopefully, the repositioning - masterminded by multi-award-winning architect and designer Yuhkichi Kawai, of Design Spirits, Japan - breathes new life into the old place.

The Lot 10 ROOF TOP is now dubbed as a "Forest in the City", will be an "urban microcosm of fitness and health", a place for consumers to pursue "the good life with responsibility".

The 2010 season of the Formula One Grand Prix will arrive in Malaysia on April 2. But before KL's most anticipated sporting event is to begin, the STYLO Fashion Grand Prix will commence its festivities.

This year's theme — Fashion to Art & Art to Fashion: The 7 Deadly Sins — will feature key messages for preservation of the environment. Over 100 artists led by Philip Wong will create 28 giant sculptures measuring 2.4m to 6m, each weighing up to 100kg of recyclable waste to line prominent tourist locations within the capital city. The seven deadly sins representing the decadence of mankind which have contributed to the decay of the earth will be translated into seven fashion items by recycling fabric, cardboard, plastic bottles and bags, newspapers, magazines and tin cans in its process.

The first sculpture was unveiled in Pavilion KL on Thursday, March 11 — a red dress made entirely from recycled newspapers. A total of seven such sculptures will be displayed in Pavilion KL, while the remaining 21 will be placed in various tourist spots across the city.

一直以来新春专辑在马新一带可说是音乐界年度的赚钱季节。不过说来也真奇怪，也不小的为什么，所谓的新春专辑也只是风行在马新一带的华人社群。港台，甚至于中国也不见得有歌手发新春专辑。近十年来马来西亚的中文电子媒体逐渐成熟，电视主持人，DJ也开始纷纷加入这场新春专辑争夺战。每家媒体所发的新春专辑水平不一，说真的，我也不晓得该以什么标准来评定一张新春专辑的水平。各说各的。
话虽然这么说，今年我还是邀请了一位评审来。他直接不造作了如此的反应。看了8TV/One FM及988的新春专辑之后，如再播的话，他会起来跑掉。然而看了再看，听了再听，完了之后还会要求重播的唯独My ASTRO那首《大日子》。看来今年My ASTRO这张新春专辑“赢硬”了。也许你心里会感到纳闷，到底谁那么“巴闭”？这个评审到底是何方神圣？请点击这里。。。

曾经在某个下午的黄昏开始，我坐在电脑前想着怎样写文章。脑海中不断的涌现新的题材，想好了自以为独特的结构，SYIOK SENDIRI的认为这将会是一个很好故事。可是到了真的要写的时候，真的连一个字也写不出来。的确很多时候，就连自己的生活，我都是想多过于付诸于行动。一直在空想与行动之间跑来跑去。。。

放眼窗外，晚霞渐消，夜幕开始拉上。一天又这样过去了。。。明天将是新的一天，也是新的一年。

卫生间

Public Toilet的中文名字有很多不同的叫法。不光是中文，连英文也一样。除了Public Toilet，你也可以看到Lavatory，Gents/Ladies，Rest or Wash Room，甚至于较口语化的LOO等等，叫法之多，琳琅满目得令人目不暇给。那么在中文的世界里，就有公厕，洗手间（当然进去的也不一定只是洗手），也有外借日本的“化妆室”等等。在中国较常见的就是《卫生间》了。中文有句成语“顾名思义”。意指只需见到名字，就会明白什么意思。可是这句成语就不能用来形容Public Toilet了。因为洗手间不一定只是洗手，化妆室也不一定只是化

妆而已。更什的是卫生间不一定卫生。到过中国的朋友应该意会什么意思。:-)

上卫生间本是生理需要，天经地义，是一件正常得很的事情。然而公然的大小便则被视为是一不雅的行为，不得为之。在马来西亚某一城镇竟然出现《只可小解，不可大解》的告示牌。令人百般不解。

现在的卫生间标志日新月异。有些标志令人看了会心一笑，有些就令人看了丈八金刚摸不着头脑。那天在新加坡某一商场里，见一卫生间（如上图）的标识，令我的老毛病（想太多）又发作了。这两个人形的标志看起来似乎兴高采烈，高举双手欢呼。。。其实正符合我当时见到此标志的心情。人有三急时，见到卫生间当然兴高采烈啦。:-)
